What inspired you to write the novel? 

I’ve always loved Mystery and Historical Romance, and I’m especially drawn to stories that explore identity and forgiveness. George MacDonald, one of my favorite authors, has deeply influenced me. I admire the emotional depth in his writing and wanted to capture some of that same richness in my own work. I also believe laughter is part of what makes us human, I love when a touch of humor finds its way into the story as well. ~ Alesandra
